About Simranjeet

I am a Psychology graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and recognition on the Dean’s Honor Roll for academic achievement. My goal as a tutor is to create a supportive, respectful, and encouraging learning space where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence in their understanding.

I know psychology can sometimes feel overwhelming because of the amount of theories, research, terminology, and writing involved. My approach is to break concepts down clearly, connect them to real-life examples, and help students develop practical study strategies that actually work. I focus on understanding, not memorization.

I take tutoring seriously and come prepared, organized, and patient. Whether a student needs help reviewing lecture material, preparing for exams, understanding research articles, or improving psychology-related assignments, I aim to provide clear guidance while helping them strengthen their own academic skills.

My tutoring style is friendly, professional, and flexible. I adapt to each student’s learning pace and make sure they leave each session feeling more confident, capable, and less stressed about the material.

About the lesson

My approach as a psychology tutor is supportive, clear, and practical. I focus on helping students understand concepts instead of memorizing them. Psychology can feel overwhelming because there are many theories, terms, and researchers, so I break the material down into simple explanations, real-life examples, and study strategies that make the content easier to remember.
A typical lesson starts with identifying what the student is struggling with, such as a theory, research article, lecture topic, or assignment question. Then, I explain the concept step-by-step, connect it to examples, and check understanding through discussion or practice questions. For assignments, I can help students organize their ideas, understand expectations, improve clarity, and strengthen academic writing without doing the work for them.
What sets me apart is my ability to explain psychology in a way that feels approachable and relatable. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, was on the Dean’s Honour Roll, and understand what it is like to study psychology at the university level. I also use a calm, patient teaching style and adapt to each student’s learning needs.
My lessons are best suited for high school students, first-year university students, and undergraduate psychology students who need support with introductory psychology, developmental psychology, social psychology, abnormal psychology, research methods, study skills, or psychology-related assignments.
