About Stephanie
I am a recent graduate from Queen's University with a degree in Psychology and Gender Studies, and I am currently conducting research at York University. I have previous experience as an academic tutor for psychology, and as a peer mentor (i.e., mental health, concussions, etc.) In May 2017, I was asked to create and teach a month long Human Sexuality course for high school students in Kingston, but unfortunately I was unable to accept the position.

My approach to learning is discussion based. I truly believe that discussion, and problem-based learning, help students better retain information. While I prefer to head into a tutoring session with some structure (i.e., to have an idea of what topics the student would like to touch on), I like to offer flexibility if there is a particular concept that needs more attention. I would be well-equipped to assist high school students with AP Psychology, and undergraduate students with their course requirements (i.e., Intro to Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Social Psychology, Positive Psychology, and Human Sexuality).
