About Lal
Hi! I’m a Psychology graduate from York University with a strong academic background in psychological research, statistics, and a wide range of psychology topics. During my degree, I worked as a research assistant in psychology labs, where I gained hands-on experience with academic research, literature reviews, and quantitative analysis.
I also have several years of teaching and tutoring experience and TESOL training, which has helped me learn how to explain complex concepts in a clear, approachable way. I understand that psychology can involve a lot of theories, terminology, studies, and researchers to keep track of, so I aim to make the material feel much more manageable.
I’m passionate about psychology and love helping students build confidence in the subject, whether they’re working through AP or IB Psychology or taking their first university psychology course.

We can review key theories and studies, break down difficult concepts, work through practice questions, and develop effective exam strategies.
I focus on understanding rather than memorization, using real-world examples to make psychological concepts easier to remember and apply. For exam preparation, I can help identify weaker areas, review course material, and practice answering questions effectively.
My goal is to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and leave each lesson with a much stronger understanding of the material.
