About Santiago
Graduated in English Studies and Hispanic Philology from the University of Jaén, I began my professional career as an assistant to the research group HUM 271 belonging to the department of English Philology of said educational institution. Later, I was able to work as a teacher of Spanish as a foreign language in Leipzig (Germany) for two consecutive years. In these years, I have managed to reinforce my level of English and German, as well as getting experience and excellent professional advice by being in contact with German teachers in different institutes in the Saxon city. In this last year, I have worked for different schools in Madrid for Cambridge exam preparation. As a professional I am responsible and hard-working. In addition, I accept criticism positively and adapt to the tastes and concerns of the students.

My teaching techniques are based on the communicative method, since I conceive languages as a tool to build bridges between people. For this, I will focus on oral and written production and comprehension without forgetting the vocabulary and grammar. The structures of my classes usually consist of a review part of the previous topic (about 5-10 min) through oral questions, an explanation of the new topic through interaction by the students (30 min-40 min) and a few minutes end to practice the previously explained in an enjoyable way.
