Navaruna, an eminent historian hailing from Guwahati, currently holds the position of Head of Department in the Department of History at Surana College's South End Campus. She is currently pursuing her Doctoral Degree in the esteemed School of Historical Studies at Madurai Kamaraj University, where her research focuses on the prison culture during colonial India.
