About Jacob
I have 7 years of experience teaching undergraduate courses at multiple universities, as well as 4 years of experience working as a researcher in National Laboratories. Helping students is a passion of mine, and I try constantly to improve my teaching methods. I have received an average of 4.5/5 on my student teacher evaluations over my teaching career and was nominated for our department's Excellent Teacher award in 2023. I will strive as a tutor to keep the focus on the subject in question and maintain a professional working relationship with any students.

For tutoring, I will focus on discovering areas of deficiency in the subject in question. Areas of need will be addressed by solving a variety of real world problems, first by me, then by the student.
I am an active professor in Mechanical Engineering with a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering offering tutoring for classes related to those subjects. Particular areas of expertise include Thermodynamics, Kinetics, Heat Transfer, Materials Science, and computational modeling of materials.
I offer tutoring for current undergraduate students in 4 year programs for engineering.
