About John
I am Professor John, a dedicated educator with a robust academic background in English and Sociology. I earned my BA in English Literature from Dartmouth College, followed by a Master’s and PhD in both disciplines from Oxford University, where I also obtained a certification as a Professor of English and Sociology. My academic journey is complemented by a degree in Information Technology, which I applied during my tenure as an IT specialist at Avant Garde Appraisal Group. For over five years, I have had the privilege of teaching at the Mississippi School of the Arts, in addition to four years at Lansing Technical High School. My teaching focuses on a wide array of subjects including Writing, English, Grammar, Literature, Proofreading, Editing, Sociology, and proficiency in software such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Access. In my teaching practice, I emphasize hands-on interaction, fostering a collaborative learning environment where I engage with students one-on-one in online virtual classes. I take pride in my ability to connect with students of all ages, from high school learners to adult students, tailoring my approach to meet their diverse educational needs. My goal is to create a dynamic learning experience that encourages critical thinking and effective communication skills.
