About John
I read the Bible most everyday and have read the Bible through from beginning to end dozens of times, still learning as I read, still in awe of God and His Word. I've taught at the university level since 1987, starting in China, continuing at times in the States, and continuing many of these years up to the present here in Korea. I enjoy discussing Bible, linguistics, and current events in English, my native language.

We could choose a book in the Bible to study. We would read a paragraph and discuss its meaning and application. I would explain where necessary. And we would continue in this way through a chapter of the Bible book. We would look at the Bible as God's Word, His 66-book love letter to us. I would bring into the discussion my Bible understanding along with my linguistic, English, history, and current events perspectives.
