About Gerald
For more than thirty years, I have been a math tutor. In 2005, I enrolled at Broward College, where I had previously received my AA degree. I received three of the highest honors given to faculty members throughout my eighteen years at Broward College. Professor of the Year (first-year instructor) Online Professor of the Year and the Endowment Teaching Chair Award. I want to keep motivating young people because I enjoy teaching math.

My approach to teaching begins with the student's comfort level, which is crucial. We work on the arithmetic portion of the procedure after I attempt to explain the subject in basic "English." One benefit of hiring an experienced tutor is that, in order to minimize confusion, I will first attempt to teach the student in the manner that their instructor first taught them. That strategy, though, isn't always effective. My next choice, then, is what makes me unique among tutors—my "superpower." My "superpower" is my capacity to simplify difficult ideas into manageable chunks, making math seem and feel easy. I provide remote algebra and math instruction to students of all ages, including college students.
