About Chase
During my schooling, I consistently took and did well in advanced and AP math courses, as well as math competitions throughout the state. While I was still sixteen, I began a month long in-person course one on one with my employer in order to properly tutor classes well. For the next many months, I taught several children at once, switching between anyone in pre-K to seniors. Soon, I was recommended to teach online as well as in-person at my institution, giving me experience in person as well as online. Around this time, I made a perfect score, 36, for my math ACT with a 35 composite score, and began including ACT readiness in my tutoring sessions. During the summer I went to my birth country, Malaysia, and taught math, english, and art classes almost singe-handedly, giving me experience with an even wider range of students. Now I am 18, and have learned how to keep any age of students entertained while teaching them as much as possible in the time I have with them. I have experience teaching Kindergarten through Algebra 2 math, as well as experience teaching neurodivergent and special needs students.

I approach one-hour tutoring lessons in a tri-fold approach, of course, taking into account any suggestions that parents may have. The first twenty minutes will be spent on trouble spots that the student missed in the years before, so that when that topic is built on in the future, they will have a strong foundation.
The next twenty minutes will be spent working on subjects the child is currently learning in school, either expounding upon the subject, working to understand it, or practicing problems until a sufficient understanding is produced.
The next 20 minutes are more variable. This could be spent on ACT readiness, studying for a math test, math games, learning more of a math subject that the child is interested in, or working on something from the past 40 minutes.
