About Emma
I have worked as a private tutor since 2016, preparing students for 11+ exams, GCSEs, and A Levels. As well as my experience tutoring, I am a qualified teaching (PGCE in Secondary English UCL IOE) and taught for several years at a boarding school in Cheltenham.
I left full time teaching to further pursue my writing career and have found that my experience as an industry professional has only contributed to my teaching. I now write for stage, screen as well as being a freelance journalist. I am also a published poet, and work across the spoken word scene.

As someone who hated school, I grew to love English because a fantastic teacher taught me how empowering it can be to understand the way language can be manipulated. I am committed to passing this on through giving students the tools to not only succeed in exams, but to write skilfully across all areas of their life.
