About Ramshankar

I am currently working as an Analytics Engineer at a leading data and AI consultancy in London. I work with the latest trends in data analytics and analytics engineering within the Google Cloud ecosystem as well as the modern data stack industry. I completed my MSc from the London School of Economics and Political Science in Applied Social Data Science. At university, I was the co-head of the LSE Data Science Society’s Education wing and have organized and conducted several workshops at both postgraduate and during undergraduate. Some of my strongest skills are in data analysis, data science and machine learning. And I have strong expertise in languages like python, SQL and R.

I have deep passion towards the subject of teaching and even did my MSc dissertation in trying to understand data science curriculum at some of the biggest universities in the US.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology revolves around the learner. I work at the cutting edge of the data space and much of my job revolves around being able to learn new topics quickly and applying them to real-world projects. For such an exercise, I believe it is important to not just memorize concepts, but truly pick up their essence in applied fashion. This is where my expertise can help you.

My lessons would be a blend of theoretical foundational lectures, hands-on-sessions for coding as well as mini-take-home projects. And will also help you craft these projects well for you to display them on your resume or Github. A typical length of a single lesson would be between 30 mins - 60 mins, with a fun break every 15-20 mins to keep you engaged.

Apart from my teaching, I would also be giving you the following deliverables you can have free of charge - A customized learning plan (more on this below), content slides, infographics (where applicable), code files and exercise briefs.

The customized learning plan is an artefact that I will send over after our initial call. The initial call will be structured to know a bit about you, your journey so far, where you want to go and also the topics that interest you. The learning plan will include the proposed number of sessions that would work for you, the topics that will be covered, the timeline of delivery and also a description of how each lesson would move you closer to your goal. My goal is to completely customize your learning journey with me so it can help you the most.

My lessons are mainly targeted for beginners as I feel that is the hardest stage for a learner, and possibly the stage where I can contribute highly and have a very real impact. But, I am also happy to extend my support to other levels too.
