About Belinda

Hi everyone, my name is Belinda and I am a professional volleyball coach and referee who is looking to help you get started on your volleyball journey! Volleyball is fast-paced, super energizing, and all about teamwork, but to be a good player you have to understand the game. Or maybe you’re an aspiring referee? You above all need to be the most knowledgeable person in the room! As someone who has spent the last 10 years deep in the volleyball game as a player, referee, and coach, I aim to help you understand the rules of the game up to an FIVB standard. I personally spend my time studying and revising FIVB books as a hobby and aid for my work.

About the lesson

I aim to teach with clarity, patience, and active learning. I often like to break down complex concepts into smaller, manageable points—and gradually increase difficulty as the student gains clear understanding. I also enjoy visual aids, practice problems, and on-the-spot quiz questions to track progress. Above all, I like to keep a casual and friendly vibe rather than the typical teacher/student.

Lessons typically last 45 minutes, though I offer both 30-minute and 60-minute sessions depending on the student's needs and attention span

My qualifications stem from both my playing and professional experience, which began in 2015. I captained a girls' volleyball team throughout my school years and competed in national tournaments during my late teens. Since 2020, I have pursued volleyball as a career—starting as an assistant coach, progressing to head coach, and now serving as a referee for Volleyball Australia.

My lessons are for beginner players and/or workers who want a breakdown of the game of volleyball. All teachings and lessons are directly derived from the most up-to-date FIVB guidelines. As these are online lessons, the objective will be on advancing knowledge and understanding of the game. For physical coaching please find a coach near you :)
