About Maya

I am a Violin tutor with more than 10 years of teaching experience and have successfully taught over 810 students. My mission is to help learners become confident musicians while developing technical mastery, artistic expression, and a lifelong appreciation for music.

Throughout my career, I have worked with beginners, intermediate learners, advanced performers, examination candidates, orchestra musicians, and competition participants. This experience enables me to adapt lessons effectively to diverse learning styles and musical ambitions.

I believe music education should inspire creativity while building discipline, perseverance, and confidence. Through supportive mentoring and structured instruction, I help students overcome challenges and achieve meaningful progress.

Many learners have successfully prepared for performances, examinations, competitions, orchestral opportunities, and advanced musical studies through my guidance. Their accomplishments continue to motivate my commitment to teaching excellence.

My goal is to help every student become a skilled and expressive violinist while enjoying a rewarding and meaningful musical journey.

About the lesson

My Violin lessons focus on helping students develop technical precision, musical confidence, artistic expression, and performance excellence through a structured and progressive teaching approach. I teach posture, bow control, finger placement, intonation, rhythm development, tone production, sight reading, ear training, music theory, and performance preparation.

Students begin by mastering proper posture, bowing technique, rhythmic accuracy, listening development, and intonation control. These foundations support healthy playing habits and provide the framework for advanced musical development.

As students progress, lessons incorporate vibrato, shifting, advanced bowing techniques, expressive phrasing, musical interpretation, recital preparation, ensemble performance, and advanced repertoire studies. Technical exercises and repertoire are carefully balanced to support complete artistic growth.

I encourage students to understand music as both a technical discipline and a powerful form of artistic communication. Lessons focus on helping learners express emotion and creativity while maintaining strong technical standards.

Regular performance opportunities, personalized practice plans, continuous assessments, and detailed feedback help students improve consistently while building confidence and musical maturity.
