About Tom
Tom's Tutoring NYC offers high-quality ESL classes to expatriates working or studying in New York City. We work primarily with professionals, graduate and undergraduate students, and other foreign-born adults with a passion to improve their English.
We offer individual tutoring and small-size classes. Services include pronunciation exercises, conversation practice, grammar drills, writing assistance, and lessons on vocabulary and idiom (slang).
Founded by New York entrepreneur Tom Penketh, all lessons are based on his six years of ESL teaching and twenty years of experience as a copywriter and editor in financial, medical, and B2B companies.
Love to help people. I have many years of professional experience in corporate America and as a teacher. I love to share what I have learned, and help people to improve their language skills.
