About Lee

Hi, I have been teaching for over 20 years and taught by some of the best artists and teachers in the business. I have recorded with members of the 6 time Grammy wining supergroup Snarky Puppy and other Grammy nominated musicians. I have great references and take the utmost professional yet fun approach to teaching. Always appropriate, and I pride myself on teaching kindness as well as using it to help me teach and to make sure my students always feel comfortable and heard.

About the lesson

When I teach you singing or drumming you get my years of experience as a teacher and a performer. I have performed and taught all over the world so you get that experience as well. Usually, we start with basic understanding of the mechanics of singing in your body , how to connect to your unique sound through exercises, scales, and breathing exercises.
we use the piano for note recognition, and all the exercises so you can hear what you need to , to stay on pitch and do your scales accurately . Most importantly I do my best to make it fun and exciting. And, I get great joy out of teaching and I can't wait to share that joy with you !

I taught myself how to play a drum set when I was a teenager back in the 70's. I learned how to play to Classic Rock. I really hadn't played in about 28 years. My wife asked me if I wanted to take drum lessons. I thought why not. I really never learned the rudiments and how to keep time. Four lessons later with Lee Farber and I feel like I'm getting my chops back! Hopefully I had some chops to get back.
Lee has a very structured approach but at the same time it is laid back and fun.
