About Channing

I am a professional musician with over 20 years of experience playing in various types of bands from community bands, small ensembles, and military bands. I have learned over the years that the best way to learn and develop as a musician is by just going out and doing it. My education is in music performance, and I have honed my skills as an educator over the last two years both in person and online. I have taught complete beginners to advanced players and taught every genre from blues, jazz, classical, etc.

About the lesson

I design lessons specifically for the individual student. Whether you learn best through lecture or books, or you learn by getting hands on, I have the lessons for you. I take the time to learn about what makes you want to learn and what your overall goals are for the future. There are no boring monotonous lessons with me. I won't design playing tests of boring scales tests. I strongly believe that true talent and passion is discovered developed through practicing the types of music that excite the student. Everything else can be learned along the way.

Jake has great confidence when he plays and is very eager to learn new concepts and perfect the basics. Before next time, he could work on using his diaphram to push more solid warm air through the saxophone to improve his tone and playing endurance.
