About Carter

My name is Carter Ingersoll and I am a DJ/Producer/Songwriter/Entrepreneur living in Los Angeles, CA. I release music and play shows under the project Gördö Vïëchïëlstëïn. While I'm in LA now, I got my start in the music business in Miami being a promoter at the legendary nightclubs STORY and LIV Miami. While working on the front lines of nightlife learning the event business model in and out, I was also perfecting my production and DJing skills. As my business and musical talent grew, I was able to start playing the more established venues in the city as well as other cities around the country. After now being in LA for a year I am graduating Icon Collective and primed to take my brand to the next level. I'll share the tips I'm currently using to make consistent progress as a producer, DJ, promoter, songwriter, entrepreneur, engineer, etc. Let's get to work

About the lesson

Music production/DJing is a vast field covering many different topics that are both interrelated and different at the same time. It is a difficult thing to learn, so don't worry if you are struggling. One of the best things you can do when it comes to music production is just focus on improving your skillset a little bit every day. That is what I will aim to do with our production session. I'm sure you have a bunch of topics you would love to learn and get better at. We will work together to start solving them all one by one. I aim to help you understand whatever concept that you need the most. I am capable of teaching from the absolute basics to very complex abstract theories. The communication and teaching style will proceed as follows.
- You give me a topic of production/reference track/genre/mixing you want to study for that session prior to us meeting
- I will come up with a personalized lesson plan for not only that topic, but your learning style
- We will review all the main lesson points during the session via lecture and demonstration within the DAW/decks
- Feel free to bring any prepared questions or send them to me early
- To end the session I will give you a list of exercises or more areas of research for further learning
- More than willing to put together several week or month programs depending on whatever your needs require. I am here to help you be the best producer you can be.

What sets me apart as a tutor is that I am actually a real producer within the industry making moves consistently. I am currently releasing music full time being supported by big artists and have just come off of playing a tour. Electronic music is my bread and butter and I have developed my own strategies over the years when it comes to producing it and performing it at the highest level. I have played some of the biggest and most well respected venues in the entire world. Some of the wisest advice I've ever received was to only take advice from people who are doing the things you want to do. If you are a bedroom producer and you are looking to up your game and get into the industry with the methods that work right now in 2023, then you have come to the right place.
