About Ale

I am a qualified Language graduate in Portuguese and English with 6 years of teaching experience. Over the years, I have worked with children, teenagers, and adults at different levels, helping them improve their communication skills in a clear and structured way.

My teaching approach is friendly, patient, and student-focused. I adapt each lesson to the individual needs and goals of the student, whether that is improving conversation, grammar, writing, or building confidence in everyday communication. I believe that learning a language should feel practical, engaging, and motivating.

Lessons are usually 60 minutes long and are designed to provide a balance between learning new content and actively practising it through speaking and exercises. I also provide personalised materials to support each student’s progress.

I am committed to creating a positive and professional learning environment where students feel comfortable, supported, and encouraged to reach their goals at their own pace.

About the lesson

I use a communicative and student-centred approach in my tutoring, focusing on real-life language use so students can start speaking and understanding from the very beginning. My classes are adapted to each student’s goals, whether that is improving conversation, grammar, writing, or preparing for travel, exams, or work situations.

My teaching methodology combines structured learning with practical application. I use a mix of conversation practice, guided exercises, vocabulary building, listening activities, and personalised materials. I also like to include real-world topics and interactive activities to make lessons more engaging and natural. The goal is always to build confidence and fluency step by step.

A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, which allows enough time to review previous content, introduce new material, and practise actively through speaking and exercises. For younger students or specific needs, shorter or more focused sessions can also be arranged.
