About Evie
I am a qualified Physics tutor with a Master’s degree in Physics and 7 years of experience teaching and supporting students at different academic levels. I specialise in GCSE, A-Level, and university physics and enjoy helping learners overcome topics they initially find challenging.
My teaching philosophy is based on clarity, patience, and active learning. Rather than overwhelming students with complicated terminology, I break each concept into manageable steps and connect theory with practical examples. This helps students develop genuine understanding and become more confident when approaching unfamiliar questions.
During my lessons, we can work on mechanics, kinematics, dynamics, electricity, magnetism, waves, thermal physics, optics, nuclear physics, particle physics, quantum concepts, and related mathematical skills. I also offer structured exam preparation, including past-paper practice, revision guidance, error analysis, and question-solving strategies.
Every learner has different strengths and areas for improvement, so I adjust my teaching style according to your needs and pace. My goal is to create an encouraging environment where you feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and improving.

My tutoring sessions provide a focused and personalised approach to learning physics at GCSE, A-Level, and university level. I believe students learn most effectively when difficult ideas are explained clearly and then reinforced through meaningful practice.
Each lesson begins by identifying what you already understand and where you need additional support. From there, I tailor the session to your specific goals, whether that involves learning a new topic, reviewing previous material, solving challenging problems, or preparing for an examination.
We can work across a broad range of physics topics, including mechanics, kinematics, momentum, energy, electricity, magnetism, waves, thermal physics, atomic structure, nuclear physics, and modern physics.
I place strong emphasis on problem-solving. Instead of relying on memorisation alone, you will learn how to recognise the physics involved in a question, choose a suitable method, use equations correctly, interpret results, and communicate your reasoning clearly.
If exams are approaching, lessons can become more assessment-focused, with past-paper practice, detailed question analysis, revision planning, and identification of recurring errors.
I aim to make every session productive, encouraging, and relevant to your needs. My objective is to help you replace confusion with clarity and develop the confidence to tackle physics questions independently.
