Jay was a sessional lecturer that I employed to develop and teach a Digital Photography and Graphics course, over several semesters, at the University of Notre Dame Australia.

As a professional photographer, Jay certainly demonstrated that he had the theoretical and practical knowledge to develop and deliver the course(s).

Jay had a very hands on and practical approach to teaching the students, incorporating real life examples and scenarios.

During my contact with Jay he demonstrated the professionalism expected of a lecturer, and I found him to be very easy to communicate with, while he was also very responsive to administrative requirements needed from my end (as Associate Dean).

It was also obvious that Jay engaged with the students in such a way that they appreciated his role as lecturer, while he also gave them insights as to the expectations/skills/knowledge required of a professional photographer.

On a personal note, Jay also volunteered to help a local NFP I am associated with, by judging our annual photographic awards.
