About Rosie

I am a professional opera singer teaching alongside my performance work. While not performing, I live in central Cardiff. I also have an undergraduate degree in English Literature from Durham!

I have students ranging in age from 15-50, and I really enjoy the chance to get the very best out of each unique voice.

About the lesson

I am a recent graduate with Distinction of the MA Advanced Opera Performance course at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. I am an extremely experienced and passionate performer with a real love of communication through music and frequently perform with some of the top level opera companies in the UK, including Welsh National Opera and Grange Park Opera. I can work in a wide variety of musical styles and can coach French, Italian and German language repertoire to professional level. I can coach students through ABRSM, GCSE and A Level Music exams as well as conservatoire or music college entrance auditions. However, I am equally happy to teach those who simply love to sing. All ages and abilities are welcome.

I believe singing can be an incredible multi-purpose tool for developing communication skills, concentration, work ethic, resilience and independence. It is also a wonderful physical activity which can improve posture, breath, muscle tone and create a reflective connection with the mind and body. Learning to read and interpret music of all kinds has extraordinary benefits for a person's development and teaches important transferable skills. Not only do I have an in depth professional knowledge of the discipline, but I am fervently dedicated to the development and continuation of opera as an art form and love to inspire students to share my passion.

Lessons are £32 per hour, £16 for 30 minutes.
