About Julia
I am a Professional Online English teacher. I have been teaching English for 15 years both in an online format and in a classroom and really enjoy the entire teaching process. I received a Bachelor of Arts from Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick and a Bachelor of Education from The College of New Jersey. I have taught international students from all over the world and have valued every experience. I look forward to sharing my expertise with each and every student!

Over the past fifteen years, I have had the privilege of teaching many students: ninth, tenth, eleventh and twelfth graders in a small class or online setting. Each teaching experience has shaped the educator I am today, and my philosophy of teaching has subsequently evolved. Above all else, I have learned the importance of modelling writing, reading, and more recently, teaching skills for the students in my classes. Acting as an example for my high school students during reading and writing activities by reading and writing along with them was important in building the kind of collaborative learning environment I wanted. If the assignment asked students to write letters to a character in a book, then I would write a letter along with them and share my writing afterwards.
