I have been having a weekly Italian lesson with Andrea for the past 3 years. I began as a complete novice. Andrea is an excellent teacher, our lessons are fun but also structured to include grammar, conversation and an understanding of Italian life and culture.
I strongly recommend Andrea as a tutor not least for his endless patience. Ora parlo Italiano con sicurezza!

Andrea is an amazing Italian tutor. He has well -thought out lesson plans for each session. Each lesson also includes time for conversation in Italian to help me gain confidence in speaking and listening. I appreciate his patience with me as a student and his enthusiasm for my success in learning a new language.

Okay, today, after more than 3 ½ years of having lessons with Andrea, three of them per week, I must say I am still looking forward to each of them. I am always late, but he never gives me the impression he could be angry because of it. He always stays patient, friendly and understanding.

I talk a lot, also in Italian, but he listens to all my stories until I reach this certain point when it gets too much. While I keep talking all the time, he corrects me nicely. But what I appreciate the most, Andrea always corrects me when I´m wrong. He tells me what would have been the correct grammar, vocabulary, pronounciation or else.

Can´t thank Andrea enough only for that. He adapts himself perfectly to my way of 'learning'. I would say that his way of teaching is excellent and I am sure not only for me but for everybody.

By the way, he is the only one in my life who is allowed to give me homework.

He has an enormous amount of knowledge of Italian grammar, vocabulary and an incredible linguistic elegance. Andrea is really willing to teach you a good Italian and does not give up on it. He changes between grammar and vocabulary, creating the perfect balance between the two. One oft he things I love the most is this book he recommended with the title "La prova orale I +II' It deals with the modern topics and problems of our time. Every chapter of it provides you with up to date vocabulary and food for discussion. I would fall asleep over the story of Peter and Mary arriving at a hotel in Milan and ask for a double bed room with an en suite bathroom and a balcony...

Okay this should be enough, before I overdo it. I call Andrea my yoga, because not for one second did I feel unter pressure! Grazie mille! Andrea.

I am fortunate to have found Andrea to help guide me through my journey to learn Italian as a second language. In my situation, I’m older (in my 50s), and now that my children are grown, I have a little more time to do something for myself, and I chose to learn Italian and connect a little more with my Italian heritage.

It was my first time studying a foreign language, so I was starting from zero, but Andrea developed a plan for me to get me off to a solid start to help my confidence early on. I have been studying Italian with Andrea for about three months now, and I have enjoyed greatly our sessions, at this time we meet twice a week. At first I was a bit nervous about a one- on- one situation but I know that engaging in conversation is the best way to learn a language and I feel that I have improved a lot with him. In addition to conversation, Andrea sends me corrected notes of each lesson, so that I can review them in my free time, and so as we proceed I can begin to add new words and idiomatic expressions to the conversation. To summarize, I am extremely pleased that I found him as a tutor.

I have been having once a week lessons with Andrea for over two years. During COVID lockdown I wanted to use my time productively and learn a language. I was never very good at languages at school, but, as I have enjoyed so many holidays in Italy, Italian seemed the obvious choice.
From the outset I told Andrea that I really wanted to learn an Italian grammar in detail. To this end he has been wonderful in working me through the various tenses and other building blocks of the language. As a complete novice, initially I lacked confidence in speaking Italian, but as time has gone by our lessons now include more conversation together with grammar excercises. Since beginning lessons, I have visited an Italy again, and now feel comfortable in my ability to make myself understood.
In my view Andrea is an excellent and very patient teacher who has very much tailored my lessons to my abilities and requirements. Aside from learning the language, I have learned so much about Italian culture, things that you would not find in text books.
