About Charlie
My name is Charlie, I'm a drummer of 11+ years and over the past four years I have established myself both as a professional musician and a drum teacher. My students have told me that I am very patient and dedicated teacher who strives to see their students succeed.
Alongside teaching drums, I love to collaborate with other musicians and play live shows. One favourite show of mine was playing to a sold-out crowd at Tramlines Festival 2024 with Matilda Shakes. Alongside my teaching, I currently work as a touring drummer with my function band and play holiday parks and clubs.

My drum lessons are engaging, supportive, and focused on helping students make steady, enjoyable progress. I combine strong technical foundations—such as stick control, timing, coordination, groove development, and reading rhythms—with playing along to songs and exploring different musical styles, so students can apply what they learn in a practical and rewarding way. The average lesson time is one hour, allowing space for warm-ups, focused skill development, learning new beats and fills, and setting clear goals for practice between sessions. I hold a 2:1 BA (Hons) Degree in Professional Musicianship (Drums) from BIMM Brighton, and I have spent the past four years teaching in school settings with Hot House Music (2022–2024) and Rockley Music (2024–2026), supporting students in building both confidence and musical ability. My lessons are suitable for children, teenagers, and adults—from complete beginners to developing players who want to strengthen their technique and broaden their musical skills.
