About Kanagaratnam
I am a dedicated music tutor with over 25 years of experience in music education, teaching Piano, Electronic Keyboard, Electric and Bass Guitar, Drums, and graded Theory (Grades 1–6). Alongside teaching, I am a full-time musician and music director with a deep passion for composing and performing.
I am a representative of Trinity College of London - Centre (44969)
I have composed over 70 Tamil songs and lead my own music band, bringing real-world performance experience into my lessons. My background as a performing artist allows me to give students practical insight into musicianship, creativity, and stage confidence.
Since 2004, I have also organised and conducted music and singing competitions, including large-scale grand finale events, creating platforms for aspiring artists to showcase their talent.
I am passionate about sharing my love for music and guiding students of all levels to grow both technically and artistically.

I offer structured and engaging Piano, Electronic Keyboard, Electric and Bass Guitar, Drums and graded theory (1 - 6) lessons for beginner to intermediate students. Lessons are 45 minutes to one hour and include basic music theory appropriate to each grade. Each student will use a record book to track lesson content and homework, allowing parents to follow progress easily.
