About Ben

I am currently a music teacher in a secondary school and part of the Roundhouse music collective. I have spent three years doing gigs all over the UK and working as a session musician with various artists. I have an immense passion for music and I want to share that passion with others.

About the lesson

Improving your singing is an incredibly rewarding and exciting journey. Massive progress can happen in the matter moments as I help you find the right exercise for your voice type to release into the fullness of your strength, tone, range and expression. Not only can improving singing benefit your performances, but accessing the full power of your voice is fantastic for your broader communication and emotional health. Learning music is also associated with increases in brain plasticity correlating with significant improvements in other academic areas. Progress is not linear. At times it requires gentleness, patience and focus to tune into the correct method and perfect an exercise. But taking the time to develop this skill will be something you won't regret. Not taking the time to develop your voice, missing the intrinsic joy of vocal freedom alongside the benefits to your social, educational and work life, will be a deeply missed opportunity. I'd be delighted to get to know each other and help you with the style of singing that you're most interested in!
