About Rob
I have loved music since I can remember. I started guitar in my teens - decades ago, after hearing guitar greats such as Mark Knopfler (Dire Straits), Andy Summers (The Police), David Gilmour (Pink Floyd), Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin) and of course Jimi Hendrix.
I had some lessons for the first year, but after that my 'teachers' were experience, and other band mates. I jammed with friends; played in bands, and the odd school production.
Over 30 years later I have released many albums - on cassette, CD, download. I have performed professionally in bands, theatre ensembles, and solo. I have won awards for my songwriting. I have shared the stage with some international acts such as Vernon Reid, Kaki King, David Lindley, Ed Kuepper, Guy Pratt; as well as numerous local / Australian talent.
I spend my time now working as a composer and session musician from my home studio.

I have a lifetime's experience as a practicing musician in the real world.
I love music, musical instruments and I love playing the guitar.
It can be simple and a lot of fun. I will pass that joy on to you.
I start with a few open chords, and the C major scale.
Learning common chord progressions, tunes and working up to some more complex work; as well as introducing pentatonic scales and improvisation - particularly for rock and blues guitarists.
I draw on my experience and knowledge of rock, blues, jazz and classical guitar.
My lessons will run for 30mins via online (eg. ZOOM).
Any age, but a willingness to learn and put the time in is essential.
