About Wagnes
With 18 years of tutoring experience, I am passionate about helping High School and College students discover their confidence, creativity, and love for Guitar. Teaching is more than simply showing students how to play an instrument for me; it is an opportunity to inspire them, understand their individual learning needs, and help them grow step by step. So far, I have had the opportunity to teach around 300-350 students, and every learner has added something meaningful to my journey as an educator.
My teaching approach is friendly, patient, and student-focused. I believe every student learns differently, so I take time to understand their current skill level, musical interests, and personal goals. Whether a student is holding a Guitar for the first time or wants to improve existing skills, I create lessons that are clear, practical, and enjoyable. I focus on building strong foundations in chords, scales, rhythm, strumming, finger techniques, music theory, and song practice while encouraging students to develop their own musical style.
One of the most rewarding milestones in my career has been teaching hundreds of students and seeing their progress from uncertainty to confidence. Helping students learn a complete song, perform in front of others, understand a difficult technique, or simply enjoy practicing is a success that motivates me every day.
I strongly believe that education should build both knowledge and character. I encourage students to be consistent, patient, and confident in their abilities. Mistakes are treated as a natural part of learning, not as failures. My goal is to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, trying new ideas, and improving at their own pace.
As a Guitar tutor, I am committed to making every lesson meaningful and inspiring. I want my students to leave each session with new knowledge, greater confidence, and the motivation to keep learning. My passion for education continues to grow with every student I teach, and I look forward to helping many more learners achieve their musical goals.

My teaching approach for Guitar is practical, structured, and focused on the individual needs of every student. I use Communication, Accountability, and Integrity as the main principles of my teaching. I believe students learn best when they understand what they are learning, know how to practice, and feel comfortable communicating with their tutor.
Communication is an important part of my lessons. Before starting, I try to understand the student’s goals and interests. Some students may want to play their favorite songs, while others may want to improve their technique, prepare for performances, or understand music theory. I communicate clearly and explain difficult topics step by step. I encourage questions and make sure students understand a concept before moving forward.
Through Accountability, I help students develop good practice habits. Guitar requires regular practice, so I guide students in creating manageable practice routines. I give exercises based on their current ability and review their progress regularly. Instead of giving too much work at once, I focus on achievable goals that help students see steady improvement.
Integrity means being honest, respectful, and responsible as a teacher. I provide clear and constructive feedback. If a student is struggling with timing, chords, finger placement, or rhythm, I explain the problem patiently and show them how to improve it. I also respect each student’s learning speed and never make them feel uncomfortable about mistakes.
My Guitar lessons can cover basic chords, chord changes, scales, strumming, rhythm, fingerstyle, picking techniques, songs, music theory, ear training, improvisation, and performance skills. I use practical exercises and familiar songs so students can apply what they learn instead of only studying theory.
I can also teach related subjects such as Music Theory, Rhythm Training, Ear Training, Songwriting basics, and general Music Performance. I adapt my teaching style for beginners, school and college students, adults, and learners who want to improve their existing skills.
My aim is to create a positive learning environment where students can practice with confidence, understand their progress, and enjoy playing Guitar.
