About Jose
Born and raised in Cadiz, Spain, the birthplace of flamenco, I first picked up my sister’s guitar at the young age of 6. I fell in love with flamenco and the guitar and have not stopped playing since.
I have performed in many tablaos, festivals and theaters across Spain and the world, including shows at the famous Casa Patas in Madrid, Tablao Cordobés In Barcelona, and the Place des Arts in Montreal. I have many collaborations with Spanish artists across Toronto including Maria Serrano.
I am very experienced in working with all other flamenco artists including dancers, singers and percussionists. I have directed several international shows to much success.

My classes are tailored to your level of experience and goals.
I am especially experienced at teaching advanced flamenco techniques and songs, including accompanying singers and dancers.
My students are able to advance quickly, perform many songs and palos, and they particularly enjoy the coaching and mentoring style of my lessons.
My students will perform in my annual recital where they have the chance to perform for friends and family and to work with dancers and singers if that is part of their goals.
