About Abigail
As mentioned above, I am a Professional Fine Arts Graduate of the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa, Johannesburg Gauteng. I am 22 years old and live in Johannesburg currently. I follow the Christian belief and also indicate this belief in my own capacity. I am a part-time Au pair and look after two wonderful children in the afternoons. I tutor in all school subjects, excluding Core Mathematics after Grade 9, where I then tutor Mathematical Literacy. My interests are in the arts, in painting, sculpting, photography, videography and film. I have been the runner up for the Wits young artist award in 2022. I have been featured in an art exhibition at Denzil&Jo's art gallery in 2023. In the same year, graduating with a final year exhibition for my work in photography at the University of Witwatersrand. I tackle concepts in my years of trauma and healing and finding ways of healing and dealing with the psyche within art and using the Lens as a reparative function. The psychological aspect as a creative myself, has been an imperative subject due to the fact that we are the most vulnerable creatures that dig deeply into our own identities to find beauty and entertainment for all.

I tutor in all subjects, exclusive of Core Mathematics from Grade 10 onwards. I then offer Mathematical Literacy tutoring. my True passion however, is in the arts. I offer private art lessons and show you ways in which you can improve your researching and writing skills. I majored in photography and videography, however, also proficient in other art mediums. In this I will be able to help you expand your artistic vision and explore your knowledge in the arts sphere. As with many others I will give work for you to complete for our next session, in order to show you, as the learner or developer, that you are indeed making progress. I also expand on artists and go through my own papers and essays to indicate further knowledge and openings of interest. I am fluent in Afrikaans and English and am willing to accommodate. If you would like me to travel to you, it will be R4,50 per kilometer. The first session is half price whether online or in-person. you may also pre-book sessions and payment can in done in advance.
