About Murray
I have been using and adding extra functionality to Excel for many years. In the early 2000s I worked in global banks in London (UK) for a number of years, where I automated the analysis of trading data. That is where my love of automating Excel and the rest of Microsoft Office started. I spent 14 years of my own time building a number of Excel add-ins to automate Excel, Word, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint. The add-ins use an enhanced version of Excel VBA (macro) code. During this period I delivered training courses in Excel and Excel VBA to many corporations, from small businesses to multinational corporations, like De Beers (diamond mining) and an array of users including general Excel users, accountants, actuaries and analysts.

I keep my lessons as simple and intuitive as possible. I show you things through the eyes of a regular Excel user, which is an immensely powerful tool. There are not only many tips and tricks to make your Excel work a lot better, but simple macro (VBA) code writing that can literally save you many hours a week. Microsoft's latest Power Platform is nowhere near as easy, stable and cost-effective as Microsoft Excel automation and apps. Once I open your eyes to these tried and tested methodologies, you won't look back!
