About Jacqueline
I currently work as a professional, certified virtual reading tutor for grades Kindergarten through 8th grade, and have additional professional experience with In-person tutoring for reading, spelling, penmanship, and grammar. I am a native English-speaking college graduate with professional experience in education. I keep lessons engaging and fun; I am kind and patient, while encouraging students to challenge themselves.
I studied Education while obtaining my Associate Degree, which included a 40 hour Teaching Practium with middle school at-risk male youth. In addition, I have all my New York State School Aged Childcare Certifications, my CRP & AED Certification for infants through adults, and I am a New York State Mandated Reporter.

My lessons are goal oriented and structured, starting with your child’s current skill level and incrementally increases in difficulty. I customize lessons to each student’s area of improvement and long term goals. I also take into account what their teacher suggests for the student, in order to keep lesson content aligned to what they’re learning in school.

Perfect! My son who is 7, is on his third session and I’m already seeing a positive difference. He’s actually engaged during the sessions and genuinely likes his tutor, which says a lot. She’s patient and explains things in a way he understands, and I appreciate how comfortable he feels working with her. Looking forward to seeing his continued progress.

Jacqueline is wonderful with children. When we visit my family, she never hesitates to help my cousin’s 7-year-old son with his homework, and all four of my cousin's kids adore her. She is also very patient with my autistic 5-year-old son, and she is a very knowledgeable stepmom when it comes to children. She really has a special gift with kids, and my family and I are so grateful for her presence in all our lives!
