About Jimo
I’m a professional drummer and certified musician with a Music degree earned in Chile. I started playing drums at 12 years old, and what began almost by chance became a lifelong calling.
Over the years, I’ve developed a strong foundation in technique, groove, and musical understanding. I’m also the author of El Camino del Groove, a book focused on building modern drumming skills through solid fundamentals.
I’ve worked as a session musician and educator, helping students grow not only in skill, but in confidence and musical identity.
Teaching is a big part of who I am — I enjoy guiding each student through a clear and structured process that leads to real progress.
Currently based in Phoenix, AZ, I teach online lessons to students who want to build strong technique, deep groove, and true musical maturity behind the kit.

Each lesson is personalized based on your goals, whether that’s building solid fundamentals, improving coordination, developing independence, or preparing to play in a band or church setting.
