About Giuliano

I have been teaching drums professionally for over 20 years, including more than 15 years teaching full-time in London. I hold a BMus (Hons) in Popular Music Performance, specialising in drums, and spent seven years as the main drum teacher at Drumshack, teaching children, teenagers and adults from complete beginners to advanced players.

My online studio is designed to make lessons clear and engaging. I use a flagship Roland electronic drum kit, professional-quality audio and three different camera angles, switching views whenever needed so students can clearly see technique, movement and posture. Personalised exercises, charts and lesson materials are also provided digitally.

I teach practical, musical lessons covering technique, timing, coordination, reading, grooves, fills and song learning. I specialise in Rock and Pop drumming and have extensive experience preparing students for Trinity Rock & Pop and RSL Rockschool exams. Every student I have entered for an exam has achieved Merit or Distinction, with the majority receiving Distinction.

Having taught young students for many years, I know how to keep lessons engaging, encouraging and appropriately challenging, helping children make progress without feeling pressured or overwhelmed. I welcome children from around the age of eight, depending on their individual readiness for online lessons.

Drawing on my Brazilian background, I also teach Brazilian rhythms and rhythmic concepts to students who want to broaden their musical vocabulary.

Whether the goal is to learn a first song, return to drums after a break, prepare for a grade or take their playing to the next level, I provide a clear and structured path towards meaningful progress.

Every lesson is tailored to your goals, experience and musical interests. Whether you want to learn your favourite songs, improve your timing and technique, prepare for grades or simply feel more confident behind the kit, we will build a clear path towards real progress.

My lessons are supportive, practical and completely judgement-free. Mistakes are treated as part of the learning process, never as something to be embarrassed about.

Rather than simply telling you what to play, I will show you how to practise effectively, overcome difficult sections and understand exactly what to work on next. You will leave each lesson feeling encouraged, focused and confident about your next steps.
