About Karla
I am a retired Social Worker who has tutored ESL students during my academic years. I often had clients whose first language was not English, and delighted in building our mutual vocabulary to achieve their goals. I have been published in professional and public sites. Part of my training included adult oriented teaching/learning techniques, literacy development, cultural sensitivities and use of stories to advance comprehension. I am a good problem solver with great communication skills.

Payment must be by e-transfer at start of second session. If you know you will be unable to attend, the soonest notice possible is appreciated. I am flexible about missed sessions, but two missed sessions in a row with no prior notice will terminate our work together. There will be no refunds if the termination is due to missed classes without prior notice.
