About Keith
I started dancing when I was 6 with The Washington School of Ballet. I attended the school for 11 years under the guidance of Kee Juan Han and later Xiomara Reyes. Through working with the company, I got the opportunity to dance in many of Septime Webre's ballets, including The Nutcracker, ALICE (In Wonderland), Peter Pan, The Great Gatsby, and more. Following my time in the school, I started my teaching journey as I joined The Washington School of Ballet as Part-Time Faculty. I spent a year there before continuing my education at Indiana University under the tutelage of Sarah Wroth. After 4 years of dancing and teaching, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Ballet with an Outside Field in Arts Management. For the past 3 years, I have been a professional ballet dancer with Ballet Arkansas. In addition to dancing with the organization, I also teach in their School for Dance, help to run rehearsals for full-length ballets as a Community Cast Rehearsal Director, and assist in outreach programs.

I teach ballet for all ages and levels! Lessons can be 30 minutes where we work on a specific aspect of your technique, or a full hour and a half class to improve your all-around technique and stamina. I also offer coaching on variations. My personal teaching philosophy is that ballet can and should be for everyone and the most important thing is to try. Past helping your foundational technique, ballet can assist other aspects of your life, such as finding more discipline, improving politeness, etc. I have always believed to be a good dancer you must also be a good human and I stress this often in my teaching.
