About Brandon

Performing music with confidence and emotion starts with strong foundations and guidance. As a guitar tutor with Master’s degrees in Music, I help students develop both technical skills and expressive ability. I start lessons with posture, finger placement, chord transitions, strumming, rhythm, and tone, progressing to improvisation, phrasing, and composition. Music theory is taught practically, with examples that connect to songs students enjoy. Each lesson is customised to the student’s pace, goals, and musical preferences, fostering confidence and engagement. I emphasise both technical mastery and artistic expression, encouraging students to communicate through their music. Ear training, sight-reading, and performance exercises help develop well-rounded musicianship.

Students explore genres like classical, jazz, rock, blues, and pop to expand versatility and creativity. Structured practice routines, feedback, and guidance support steady growth and help overcome challenges. I celebrate milestones to motivate students and recognise progress. I encourage improvisation, composition, and personal expression to develop a unique musical voice. Lessons balance discipline and artistic freedom to keep learning enjoyable. Over time, students gain proficiency, confidence, and a personal musical style. Teaching guitar is more than sharing technique—it is mentorship, inspiration, and growth. I’ve always believed music is a universal language, and the guitar is one of its most expressive voices. With a Master’s in Music, I’ve built my career on helping others discover their connection to this art form. My teaching focuses on clarity, creativity, and confidence. Over the 14 years, I’ve taught students of all ages and skill levels, tailoring lessons to meet their goals. Whether you want to strum simple songs or perform advanced solos, I guide you step by step. I emphasise proper technique, musical understanding, and emotional expression. My sessions include structured practice, feedback, and creative exercises to keep learning dynamic.

I also integrate performance training to help students overcome stage fright and present their music proudly. I strive to create a relaxed yet motivating environment that encourages experimentation and growth. My aim is not just to teach notes—but to help students tell their stories through music. Seeing them achieve that spark of connection with their instrument is the most fulfilling part of what I do.
