About David
Hello Prospective Students! My name is David and I am a Writer, Actor, Tutor... and sometimes movie-goer. After 10 years of performing on stage and in short films, I decided that the real fun was in writing; and after another few years of that, I realised that there was even more fun in teaching it too. So, for the last year, I have been an online English and Creative Writing tutor. All of this coincided with an ADHD diagnosis, at the tender age of 35. I know that people have a tendency to bat around terms like "neurodivergent" and "functioning," and the meanings can seem a little elusive. I was a great student; polite, quiet, did my homework on time and all of that jazz. Thus, my unquiet brain went under the radar as I simply didn't present the then-classic symptoms. However, I missed out on a few things and I like to believe I can help ensure others don't miss out on them too. So what are my lessons like? Well, that depends on you--specifically, how you learn. No two people learn in the same way, so what I like to do is find out what works for you and run with it. I'm not big on reams of homework, but I do say that one thing is mandatory... you have to want to learn. We'll chat, laugh, play with the subject and we'll both discover new things.

My lessons are all based around conversation, with the pace set by the student and the topics being the "what," the "how" and the "why." Lessons tend to be 60-90 minutes in length, and I teach students from GCSE, to Adult learners just looking to expand their knowledge!
