About Utku
I have been working for almost 5 years for the Turkey's biggest and leading service bureau, +90, who currently hold 50% of the local market. I started working as an Application Engineer in 2013 and I'm now in charge of Additive Manufacturing (AM) Department where I am responsible to run 11 AM machines, based on FDM, Polyjet and SLS. In these 5 years, I have completed more than 4.000 projects, hands-on, and gained very well experience on these technologies, about the abilities, strong and weak sides.
Managing the AM team, I have also some side responsibilities. I support our sales team as a project consultant and contribute to meet the requirements of our customers.
Having a respectable experience with customer requests, I am also responsible for the company’s international sales activities, which included developing business with new customers and let me increase the turnover 300% in 2018.
I am also managing the company’s overseas suppliers, who has other solutions such as metal 3D printing, SLA, MJF or CNC machining. This also has given me the chance to create a great network and reach out the technologies and understand what can be done with each technology.
During my time at +90, I have attended number of trainings, expert days, fairs about additive manufacturing technologies and had a chance to see how the technology developed and how the companies have been doing to develop it more and adapt to switch AM with conventional methods.
