About Carly
I'm Carly. I stood at the edge of the diving board (making the decision to jump into finally making my music) for years. I deliberated and procrastinated, excused and delayed. I said “I want to…” many more times than I can remember. One day, I took the plunge. I went and got myself the software I needed, I grabbed the gear I had, I learned the bare basics, and then I got fully submerged into it. I would go all day; writing, refining, editing, mixing. And I love it! I realized how much this passion has been missing from my life. To turn my ideas into recorded, listenable content that I actually enjoy listening to. So, now I’m ready to share this incredible passion with others, so they too can receive the satisfaction and enjoyment that I have.

Ready to start putting your ideas into form? I offer music production lessons using Ableton Live for absolute beginners. I walked into my music production journey as a drummer with limited experience to say the least in the playing of any other instruments. However, I had an idea. An idea to get my ideas from my head and through a set of speakers without needing to know how to play! I walked in with little knowledge of music theory, but worked out a way to get my melodies, harmonies, chord progressions, basslines and drumbeats into Ableton to form a cohesive whole, and it actually sounds good! So, if you’re new to this and want one-on-one guidance on how to get those tunes onto paper (computer), then hit me up and we’ll drop into a live, screen shared session to get you skilled up with tunes to show for it! Minimal equipment required; just a half decent microphone, a computer running Ableton Live and some ideas ready to record into form!
