About Mishti
I am a Cambridge English undergraduate, joining after almost a year of experience working full-time as a copywriter for a fast-growing, social impact startup. Having received first place in the 2018 Woolf Essay Prize, full marks in my English Literature A-level coursework, full marks in my EPQ dissertation, and 9s in both English Lang and Lit at GCSE, I have a strong foundation to work with students. Whilst at school, I was a senior prefect and organised events with top national figures, including former PM, David Cameron, and Diane Abbott MP. I founded my school's Feminist Society, as part of which I gave many assemblies and was responsible for inspiring many brilliant young minds.

I believe in teaching through discussion, as I found that seminar-style lessons worked well for me, particularly in such a subject as English. Discussion encourages students to interrogate different ideas, approach texts analytically and adapt to different viewpoints. As a bubbly individual, I aim to put students at ease, as I believe that a level of comfort encourages students to push themselves and broach unfamiliar areas. By instilling a strong foundation initially, a student is free to grow.
