About Dorcas
Technical fluency requires patience. My professional life involves performing within a major American chamber ensemble while instructing a wide spectrum of pupils from 4-year-old beginners to advanced students preparing for conservatory entrance. Instruction occurs within the comfort of your own residence across Los Angeles.
Shifting positions, tuning by ear, and rigorous scales are foundation points for my pedagogy. I treat every student with care.

Instructional pacing can feel overwhelming. Balancing technical precision with artistic expression remains the primary objective during my 7.0 hour instructional programs.
Basic skills like bowing technique and left hand agility demand consistent monitoring. Music theory and ear training integrate into every session to build a complete musician. Classical repertoire serves as our main roadmap. Do you want to begin with a free trial lesson to gauge your starting level?
