About Natasha

I am a bilingual French/English university student who has been educated in both the French and English schooling systems. I therefore have native fluency in both languages, allowing me to provide high quality French lessons to English students. I specialise in oral lessons, helping students develop their speaking skills as well as oral comprehension so that they can use their French skills in the real world!
I have been giving private speaking lessons for three years, helping GCSE and A level students increase their oral exam grades from C/Bs to A/A*s. As well as this, I also have two years’ experience giving private French lessons to English adults who have recently moved to France or who simply wish to improve their French fluency.
Through these lessons I have seen students greatly increase their confidence in handling the French language and achieve huge progress with their fluency.

About the lesson

All of my lessons are personalised to the individual student, whilst always remaining highly interactive to ensure that the student can develop their fluency as much as possible in each lesson. Having determined the student’s level of French, I would set a different topic of conversation for each lesson, including different questions which they would be answering during our session. This approach allows students to read up on relevant vocabulary and structures before the lesson, and then put this vocabulary into use orally throughout the class. This organised structure would form the basis for further discussion and conversation which would develop the student’s ability to improvise and adapt their French skills to new areas and topics which they may not have come across before, modelling real life French conversations which they may face. Whilst the student is speaking I make a note of vocabulary, sentence structure, verb conjugations, or pronunciation which they can improve on, before going through this with them.
This organised and efficient approach allows each student to gain the most possible out of each lesson, both in terms of general French fluency as well as newly acquired vocabulary relevant to each carefully chosen topic of conversation.
