Elise is a wonderful instructor! She taught beginner french and was very patient with our class. She is definitely an experienced teacher in that she doesnt just read from a sheet. Rather, she would always explain the why behind the language, and also incorporated different cultural facts for us to gain a deeper understanding of french. I'd highly recommend her as a teacher.

I took my first French classes in a beginner level with Elise and highly recommend her! She was patient with the different levels between the students, helped me to start thinking in French and practice pronunciation. She spoke a lot of French during the classes, just little English, like in an immersive way of teaching. Elise also shared with the class some additional vocabulary sheets and incorporated the new words in our lessons. She showed different nuances of the French culture in her classes giving us a sweet tat of what we can expect when visiting a French speaking country.

Elise is a wonderful person who is pleasant to converse with. She has an excellent level of English and is willing to work with any level of French you have to begin with. She has a unique teaching style depending on what is needed and really wants to make sure her students excel. She has many wonderful resources for teaching.

Bonjour! My lucky stars were shining brightly when I "found" Elise to help me improve my French! Elise helps me strengthen my sentence structures; gives me at least 3 new verbs weekly to conjugate (oh, yeah!); and zeroes in with more exercises to improve my listening comprehension skills. We studied several regions in France before I spent 4 weeks there in early autumn, and I could draw information I learned from those studies into my practical experiences in those French regions. Elise will customize your lessons to suit your requests and needs.

Bonjour! Elise is a wonderful teacher, patient, kind, supportive. She goes at your pace, she teaches the full richness and depth of the language. Elise is a wealth of knowledge about France as well as learning the French language. Knowing I was nervous about speaking French on my recent trip to Europe, Elise spent extra time with me to help me get local words and phrases down, she even gave me great food recommendations and how to order like a local for my trip, She is a wonderful teacher!
