About Clara
I graduated from Princeton University with a bachelor's degree in geosciences and minors in French and sustainable energy. At Princeton, I took courses in multivariable calculus, linear algebra, statistics, and programming, and I did a lot of programming, data visualization, and statistical analysis in Python for my senior thesis, which analyzed the effect of the Madden-Julian Oscillation on the probability of rapid intensification of hurricanes. I have experience with introductory physics (mechanics) as well as more advanced natural science (i.e. atmospheric dynamics, introductory physical oceanography, etc.) I have also taken a course in the economics of electricity markets. I also took many French classes and several German classes at Princeton, and I wrote an independent paper in French to obtain my minor. I have lived in France for a month in Germany for 2 months. Next fall, I will begin my master's in civil and environmental engineering (with a specialization in atmosphere and energy) at Stanford.

If you need help with calculus/statistics/introductory physics (mechanics)/other math or science, we can go over the practice problems you're currently working through so that you can get an idea of the best way to solve each type of problem. After we go through a few problems together, I'll assign you a problem or two to do on your own, but I'll be available to give hints if you get stuck. I can also explain concepts you're confused about or teach you new concepts in a lecture style if you haven't gotten to the practice problems yet. If you need help with French or German, we can practice speaking (both pronunciation and fluidity), grammar, and vocab. We can go through exercises together, practice speaking, or discuss specific grammar rules that you may be confused about. I am also happy to help you with your English grammar, writing, reading comprehension, and speaking skills!
