About Hannah
I have been teaching for 10 years and have been tutoring for the past 2 years. I am experienced and confident to teach the curriculum accurately. Parents have been pleased with their child's progress and children have enjoyed my lessons where we talk about a variety of different methods to support them with their confidence and knowledge.

Hello I'm Hannah. I qualified as a teacher in 2012 and I have been teaching for 10 years with 7 years in year 2. In the last few years I have taught from nursery up to year 6 with a focus on preparing children for their SATs in year 2 and 6. I have also tutored children for over 1000 hours from reception class up to adult learners and many children who will be completing their SATs in year 6.
My real passion is maths, I have an A level in maths and have also studied it as part of my degree. During my teaching career I have taught maths to children aged 4-14 and seen the progression and links that are made in each year group. I love to be able to build confidence in children which is key to supporting their learning in all subjects.
During my career I have been trained to deliver the RWI phonics programme and have also used other phonics programmes to gain results in a fun and interesting way.
I have prior experience tutoring children for the year 2 and year 6 SATs along with teaching maths up to key stage 3. My tutoring style is teaching in small steps and revisiting previous learning to ensure that children have the foundations in place to build strong subject knowledge and be able to think more independently with the skills that they have learnt.
I am currently offering online lessons as well as supplying learning resources where appropriate.
