About Fahmida

My passion for teaching derives from a need to help young children build positive futures for themselves. I want to ensure every child I come across in my career is able to take advantage of the opportunities that surround them in order to develop and build key skills. As my parents come from a country where these opportunities aren’t available to less fortunate children, this pushes me to encourage a positive learning atmosphere and mindset. I aim to work collaboratively with my students, as we appreciate the value and importance of education and the power of knowledge that will help you to achieve all of your goals.

About the lesson

My lessons are revolved around my students’ needs and abilities. I prepare through assessments in order to understand what the child knows, and using that information I will tailor an individualised learning plan that will allow them to improve and excel in their learning. I aim to use a range of teaching styles that ensure my students are able to grasp concepts and apply them to any given situation. Particularly in Maths, I like to implement the use of drawings and sensory objects as well as real life problems to consolidate learning.
