About Scott
Originally, my degree was in Dance and Musical Theatre. After 9 years of dancing on many cruise ships all over the world, my wife wanted to settle down. This is when one chapter of my life closed and a new chapter began. With a desire to inspire, and wanting to support children through their learning journey, I enrolled with Leeds Uni and achieved my QTS in 2015. I have been a class teacher for eight years before becoming a department lead in UKS2. Not only was I teaching in a classroom, but I also had the privilege of leading a team of eight staff members as well as train student teachers of different abilities. This leadership role has only strengthened my position in the profession of teaching and I can't wait for the opportunity to help more children reach their potential.

When tutoring English/Writing, I like to use an objective sheet that clearly shows what each child needs to be able to confidently and independently be successful at. Once an objective is taught (and the pupil has demonstrated full understanding of the objective), my pupils can highlight off to show it's complete.
