About Laura
Besides being a mother of 4 and guiding my own children through their academics, I was a substitute teacher for 7 years, for grades kindergarten thru 8th. I worked extensively in SDC rooms as a second teacher, and had the opportunity to spend valuable time with each individual. I also volunteered and tutored students in the mainstream classrooms. I saw tremendous success and growth with the students, especially when they realized that they could read.

My teaching method is based on each individual student and their needs. Everything is approached with calm and patience, along with happy enthusiasm to engage the child and shine a positive light on learning. I teach a specialized reading program designed for learning challenged students, and I also teach/tutor multiple subject (including math) through high school level.
